The Holiday Helping Hearts giving program is designed to provide holiday gifts and activities for children, ages 6 – 21, with developmental challenges, including autism. These are the children served by the educational and residential programs of The Learning Tree across Alabama.

The Learning Tree strives to fulfill the wishes of each child, especially during the December holiday season but also for other holidays throughout the year. By partnering with individual and corporate sponsors we can help make their dreams come true. Help bring smiles of joy to children this holiday season!

The Learning Tree is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1983, to provide educational and residential services for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, including autism. Today more than 700 children and families are served each year from over thirty-five counties across Alabama. The Learning Tree provides 12 facilities within the north, central and southern regions of the state.

The following items are examples of the holiday and year-round needs of the children:

Age appropriate toys
Clothing, shoes, jackets
Personal items
Electronics
Bedding
Small furnishings
Classroom parties
Holiday-themed field trips
