About the Program

Woody’s Song School helps children children, ages 5-21 on the autism spectrum, increase their skills in the areas of language, socialization and cognitive skills while decreasing behaviors that interfere with their learning.

  • Opened in August 2009, located at 5459 Able Court in Mobile, AL.
  • Tuition-based.
  • A twelve month program that follows the Mobile County School System calendar.
  • Staffing includes a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and qualified teaching assistants.

Parent Involvement

  • Full participation in the child’s educational program, both at school and at home is expected.
  • Parents are required to participate in a weekly training session conducted by Woody’s Song School staff.
  • Parents must agree to provide an additional five hours of instructional time each week for their child, with guidance from Woody’s Song School staff.  Parents may provide this instruction or hire staff.
  • Participation in the Woody’s Song School Parent Association is encouraged.
  • Participation in fundraising and community awareness events is essential to the success of the school.
