Tallassee School

The Tallassee Residential School opened August 17, 2005, now celebrating more than 10 years of service. The school building on S. Dubois Street was transformed from a 1920’s-era church to a state-of-the-art school while maintaining its architecturally rich features. The program now employs more than 187 people in the Elmore County area.

The program provides 11 homes in the community for 36 children and adolescents, receiving their educational services at the school location.
