Working under the supervision of the Lead Residential Instructor (LRI) and Residential Support Supervisor (RSS), the position of Residential Instructor (RI) provides support for individuals in the home environment.
Working under the supervision of the Lead Residential Instructor-Weekend (LRI-W) and Residential Support Supervisor-Weekend (RSS-W), the position of Residential Instructor Weekend (RIW) provides support for individuals in the home environment.
Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Teacher, and Lead Teaching Assistant (LTA), the position of Teacher Assistant (TA) provides support for individuals transitioning to and from the classroom environment as well as predominately providing support during the school day.

Instructional Support Specialist
The Instructional Support Specialist is responsible for development and implementation of behavior support plans based on the principles of behavior analysis. This individual will be conducting direct and indirect assessments to develop these plans. The Instructional Support Specialist works closely with a team including members of the residential and education departments to ensure behavior plans are implemented with integrity.
Qualifications: Minimum of Master’s degree in psychology or education, certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst given preference; minimum of one year’s experience
Residential School Teacher
The Teacher is responsible for delivering education services for a group of students (7-21 years old) served by The Learning Tree, Inc. The teacher position ensures lesson plans, resources, and staffing are available for the provision of educational services for their classroom. This individual will be responsible for completing required annual assessments, and they will be expected to maintain all documentation required by the State Department of Education. Teachers at The Learning Tree, Inc. work closely with a team including members of the residential and behavioral departments to meet the educational and behavioral needs of students.
Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in special education or B.S. in Education with current enrollment in special education; current certification; good driving record preferred.
Preschool Teacher (2 Positions)
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for delivering education services for a classroom of preschool students (2 ½-5 years old) served by The Learning Tree, Inc. The Preschool teacher position implements, develops, and maintains records for the Individual Education Plans. Preschool teachers at The Learning Tree, Inc. work closely with a team to meet the educational and behavioral needs of students. This position will be responsible for supervising teacher assistants and volunteers working with their class.
Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in special education or B.S. in education with current enrollment in special education; current certification; good driving record preferred.

Residential Instructor (Multiple positions available for evening, weekend, and overnight)
The Residential Instructor assists students in completing daily activities, implementing behavior support plans (including crisis procedures), and following instructional lesson plans in the group home setting. Also, the Residential Instructor ensures the student’s needs are met including health, hygiene, and nutrition. Along with assisting in the group home, this individual supervises students on community outings. It is their responsibility to maintain safety and cleanliness of the group homes.
Qualifications: Minimum of a high chool diploma; good driving record preferred.
